In support of its mission to promote multidisciplinary research, education, and outreach in environmental sciences, engineering, policy, and sustainability, CESE recruits and supports faculty members and graduate students from a wide variety of departments at the University of Connecticut.
Faculty members are associated with CESE in four main capacities:
- The Executive Committee provides strategic and tactical guidance to the Director, and executes functions associated with Graduate Research Awards, Multidisciplinary Seminars, and Infrastructure Development.
- Center Faculty Members represent scientists and engineers with salary support from the CESE.
- Affiliated Faculty Members include a diversity of scholars working in environmental sciences and engineering with interests in multidisciplinary approaches and transdisciplinary education.
- The Environmental Council comprises environmental leaders and administrators from throughout the University.
